About our coverage

The sources, ownership and limits behind NDT Connect’s articles and technology updates.

Published

An industry publication and a working portal

NDT Connect publishes technology briefings, inspection features, practical buying guides and training resources for the non-destructive testing community. Our primary audience is in the United States, with coverage relevant to Canada and the wider industry. The publication sits alongside our tools, technical reference library and provider portal.

Ownership and commercial relationships

NDT Connect is operated by Atlantis NDT. Coverage of Atlantis products is related-company coverage and is identified as such. A product description reflects the evidence cited; it is not an independent certification or endorsement. Provider listings and supplier marketing do not establish demonstrated performance on a reader’s particular application.

Our editorial rule is to label paid placements and distinguish them from source-based features. We do not describe a related-company product as independently tested unless the article provides the actual test evidence and its limitations.

Sources and article types

Source-based features link to primary material such as standards publishers, certification bodies, research institutions and manufacturers. Manufacturer material is identified as supplier evidence. Public standard summaries do not substitute for the full applicable standard. Illustrative calculations and proposed checklists are labeled so readers can distinguish them from measured field results.

Technology updates identify the date and substance of a documented development. Established technologies are not presented as new inventions merely because an article is newly published. Practical guides explain workflows and decisions; they do not imply that an event has just occurred.

Authorship and technical review

The NDT Connect editorial byline identifies organization-authored coverage. The source-based guides published in October 2026 were prepared with AI assistance. They are not represented as a signed Level III technical review or an independently witnessed equipment trial. Where a named contributor or technical reviewer is credited, their role and relevant credentials should be stated on the article.

Readers must apply their project’s qualified procedures, competent technical review and governing requirements. An article, calculator or software demonstration does not issue an inspection acceptance decision, establish personnel certification or approve a site-specific work method.

Dates, updates and the archive

New source-based articles show their publication date and a modification date when revised. Dates change when content changes materially, not simply when the site is rebuilt. The RSS feed carries this source-based series; the article library also retains older posts whose presentation and depth may differ.

The archive is being improved in place. Older material should not be assumed to have undergone the same source check as a newly dated feature. When an existing article is substantially revised, its original publication date remains part of its record.

Corrections and story leads

Use the contact page to report an error or suggest coverage. Include the article URL, the disputed statement and supporting primary evidence. For a product announcement, include the official release, its date, the application and the limits of any claimed result. Do not send confidential customer records without permission.

Our correction policy is to explain material factual corrections on the affected article and update its modification date. Minor spelling or formatting changes do not need a new publication date. A story suggestion or submitted press release does not guarantee coverage.
