About ISO 9712 Certification
ISO 9712 is the international standard that establishes the principles for qualification and certification of NDT personnel. It is adopted by national certification bodies worldwide and provides a framework for mutual recognition of NDT qualifications across borders. Certification is issued by accredited certification bodies, not employers.
Certification Levels
Level 1 - Performs NDT operations according to written instructions under supervision
Level 2 - Selects technique, sets up equipment, performs tests, evaluates results per applicable standards
Level 3 - Takes full responsibility for NDT operations, develops procedures, interprets standards
